At New Albany, Westerville South beat the host team 48-21. South led from the get go and never looked back, controlling the line of scrimmage and coming up with timely defensive plays. South racked up 502 yards of offense against 332 for the Eagles. Kayden Saunders got the scoring started for South, hauling in a 67 yard TD catch on South’s first possession. After the early score, South turned to the ground game led by Michael Mansaray who had a monster game, rushing for 289 yards and 5 touchdowns. Peter Pedrozzo had an efficient night, completing 9 of 11 throws and one touchdown. Pedrozzo also contributed in the ground game, scoring on a 12 yard run to put the game out of reach early in the 3rd quarter.
Reed Hall had a strong game for the host Eagles, rushing for 202 yards and three scores. Mechi McCauley pitched in 85 yards rushing for New Albany.
