Westerville South lost it’s final regular season game to Thomas Worthington 72-70 at home. This was a tight and entertaining game throughout, with the Cardinals holding off the Widcats in the last few seconds to secure the win. South took a 4 point lead at halftime behind 22 first half points from Senior standout Jordan McMillian. The Cardinals regained control of the game early in the 3rd quarter and held off a late game charge from the Wildcats. Two players accounted for over half of the total points in the game. Sophomore Jalen Sullinger led the Cardinals in scoring with 33 points, hitting shots from all angles, while McMillian poured in 40 points and several highlight reel assists. Charlie Mamlin scored 13 points for the victors and Isaac Settles finished with 11 points including key free throws to close the game. Senior Ryan Greggs also finished in double figures for South with 12 points. The Wildcats end their regular season with a record of 6-15. The Cardinals finished their season at 13-8.
