Westerville South fell at home to Pickerington Central by the score of 65-50. With the loss, South fell to 5-5 on the season while Pick Central kept their record at a perfect 10-0. Central came into this game nationally ranked and outscored South over each quarter of the game. South displayed a lot of toughness throughout the game and played solid defense against a significant size advantage for Central, keeping the game within striking distance for most of the game. Javohn Garcia paced Central’s scoring with a game high 21 points. Jay Rodgers scored 13 and Sam Towns 11 as additional double digit scorers for Central. Jordan McMillian led South’s scoring with 18 points and Manny Sunnyway delivered 15 hard fought points, most of which in the paint. Up next for South is a home game against rival Westerville Central on Friday 1/11 while Pick Central travels to Gahanna Lincoln.
