Westerville South lost 69-62 at home to Olentangy Liberty. This game was a tale of two halfs. Olentangy raced out to a big early first quarter lead, coming up with what seemed like every loose ball and playing tough defense. After the first quarter South started asserting themselves,, battling back to take their first lead of the game midway through the third quarter. Liberty led by 4 points entering the fourth quarter and the lead changed several times before Liberty pulled away at the end behind clutch free throw shooting by Ben Roderick as South resorted to fouls to try to extend the game. Three South players would ultimately foul out of the game. Roderick led Liberty’s scoring with a game high 24 points. Ryan Greggs led South’s scoring with 18 points and Jordan McMillian pitched in 16 points, 11 in the second half. Up next for South is a tough road game at Gahanna on Monday, 12/17.
