South overcame a slow start to pick up a big non-conference home victory over Upper Arlington, 49-40. South started the game in sleep mode, scoring a season low 11 1st half points and trailed by 10 at the break. Junior Jaden Guice led South’s comeback in the 2nd half, scoring all of his game high 19 points after the break and matching UA’s total scoring output. Guice has scored 66 points over the last three games. South improved to 13-6 on the season and remain tied for the OCC Buckeye conference lead with Olentangy Liberty with a 6-2 record. Upper Arlington saw it’s season record drop to 11-7 with the loss. Up next for South is a huge conference matchup against rival Westerville North on the road this Friday.
