Westerville South started their postseason run on a strong note, defeating Groveport-Madison 73-50 at home in the first round of the OHSAA playoffs. South started fast and never looked back, never trailing in the game. Balanced scoring is a trademark of this year’s South team and this game was no different with four players posting double digit scoring efforts. Junior Tabari Howard led South with 20 points, scoring from the post and from the outside. Junior Peter Pedrozo scored 15 points in only 2+ quarters of work. Drey Carter and Jaden Guice also posted double figures for South, scoring 12 and 11 points respectively. South improved their season record to 15-8 with the victory. South, seeded #11 in the Columbus region next moves on to play #26 seed Columbus Briggs at home next Friday at 7:00.
