The boys bowling team dropped to 1 win and one loss on the season with a 2263 to 2145 loss to host Olentangy Friday.

The Wildcats were lead by junior Cameron Voigt with a 402, and junior Colton Rice with a 366.

Tyler McMaster and Nick Madaris of Olentangy shared match medalist honors with 404.

The Wildcat bowlers will hit the lanes again on Tuesday, at the Palace, as they play host to the Pacers of Delaware Hayes.

The girls were lead by senior Taylor Knox with a 328, and senior Rachael Bielby and junior Emily Grise, each with 323.

The match medalist was Olentangy’s Erika Brehm, who had 399.

The team will face Delaware Hayes on Tuesday at 4:pm at the Palace.

The Wildcats took the lead at 55-54 for the first time since the beginning of the second quarter when Jake Singleton hit a 3 point shot from the left side of the arc with 1:33 remaining in the game. Another 3 point shot by Ryan Greggs at the :56 second mark makde it 57-54. Four consecutive made free throws by Gahanna’s Josh Corbin put Gahanna up 58-57 with :47 seconds left, but a field goal by South’s Jordan McMillian put the Wildcats on top for good with :24 seconds to go. Two free throws by Manny Sunnyway with :03 seconds left sealed the win for the Wildcats. High scorer for the game was Gahanna’s Josh Corbin with 20. He was 6/6 from the freee throw line. The Cats had ballanced scoring from McMillian (15) M Sunnyway ( 13) and E Sunnyway and Gregg (9 each). Cats are 1-0; Gahanna is 0-1

Game Recap

On a brisk Senior night in Westerville, Olentangy Orange defeated Westerville South 35-7. Jack Applegate paced visiting Orange, rushing for 3 touchdowns. Michael McLemore posted the only score for South, a 37 yard catch from Max Barber in the 2nd quarter.

The game started ominously for South, fumbling on their first play from scrimmage which led to a short field and an Applegate touchdown for Orange. Missed opportunities were a theme for South, as three scoring drives inside Orange’s 10 yard line led to no points. South ends it’s season at 4-6 while Orange heads to the Division1, Region 2 playoffs with a mark of 9-1.
