Wildcats News · Strong Start for Wildcat Swimmers


Wildcat Swimmers kicked off their 2018-19 Season with the Worthington Kickoff Classic Invitational.  Teams from Westerville Central, Westerville North, Thomas Worthington, and Thomas Kilbourne competed in Worthington on Friday night.   Top finishes for the Wildcats included Freshman Caroline Bowling who took 3rd in both the 200 Freestyle and the 100 Fly, Freshman Emily Ellsworth who was 5th in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 100 Backstroke, and Sophomore Maeve Stacey who placed 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke.  Seniors Mason Crow and Dylan Gary had a strong showing in the 100 Fly with a 3rd and 4th place finish respectively, Mason also finished 3rd in the 50 Free.  Wildcat distance swimmers impressed with Sophomore Riley Andrews earning a 2nd place finish in the 500 freestyle, while Sophomore Cassidy Carter and Freshman Alli Tinkham finished 3rd and 4th in the 500 Freestyle.  Returning senior sprinter Taylor Henderson secured a 3rd place in the 100 free and a 4th place in the 50 Free.  For the JV Events, Freshman Claire Gleason was the top finisher with 5th place in the 100 Freestyle.

Wildcat Swimming and Diving will be at home (Westerville Community Center Pool) on Saturday morning as they take on Olentangy Orange High School in a Dual Meet starting at 9 AM.
