The Westerville South Cross Country teams traveled to London this Saturday, September 29. The Erin L. Nance Fall Distance Classic was held at the challenging London Country Club.
The girls were up first with Abbey Williams, Tasha Carr, Kat Stoll, and Aidan Christie all finishing the open race in the top 60 and taking home medals, along with Aidan Christie and Ini Oyewusi both setting new personal records. In the varsity race Ellie Bouton, Taylor Hughes (new PR), and Emily Ellsworth all finished in the top 20 and took home medals along with the rest of their teammates Elise Bennet, Marley Jackson, and Izzie Kotik. Both of the girls teams placed 5th behind Olentangy, Olentangy Berlin, Olentangy Liberty, and Miamisburg.
The boys open raced towards 7 medals and 7th place. Liam Allbritton, Connor Bushman, Isaac Weaver, Chase Jackson, Jaxen Swank, Caedin Bouton, and Huy Vu all took home medals along with Jaxen Swank, Chase Jackson, William Livingston, and Victor Gonzales finishing with new personal records. The boys varsity placed 5th with Cole Koehler and Donovan Slattery in the top 25. The rest of the varsity line up of Isaac Combs, Ian Anderson, Brandon Allbritton, Anthony Vilardo, and Teague Svendsen all took home medals well.
